Scope
This standard applies to temperature controllers installed on electrical appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 690V and a rated current not exceeding 63A for household and similar purposes. It includes a bimetal temperature-sensitive controller (referred to as a temperature controller) for the purpose of controlling temperature with bimetal as a temperature sensing element and a bimetal temperature-sensitive limiter (referred to as a temperature limiter) for preventing overheating. Collectively referred to as bimetallic temperature controllers (referred to as temperature controllers).
