Scope
This document specifies the term definitions, classification and model designation methods, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of bimetallic temperature controllers for household and similar purposes (hereinafter referred to as "thermostats"). This document applies to temperature controllers installed on household and similar electrical appliances, with a rated voltage not exceeding 690V, a rated current not exceeding 63A, and an operating temperature range of -30°C to 320°C, using bimetal as the temperature sensing element. This document applies to temperature controllers, temperature limiters and thermal cutouts described in GB/T14536.1-2008. Note: For thermostats beyond the scope of this document, the requirements shall be agreed between the user and the manufacturer.
