Scope

This standard specifies the classification, basic performance and requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, storage and transportation of rubber elastic components for rolling stock. This standard applies to rubber elastic elements used in rolling stock suspension systems, equipment installation systems, connections, and limit parts to function as vibration dampers, buffers, flexible connections, and limiters. This standard does not apply to air springs, sealing rubber products, coupler buffers, hoses and conveyor belts for rolling stock.
