Scope: This standard specifies the classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and storage of marine external thread bronze stop check valves (hereinafter referred to as stop check valves). This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of stop and check valves for seawater, freshwater, fuel oil, lubricating oil, air and steam in ships with a temperature not higher than 250°C.
