Scope: This standard specifies the test method for the dimensional change of disc brake pads affected by heat. It also specifies the test method for heat conduction of disc brake pads in the direction of applied pressure. The test device can be designed to test one or two disc brake pads. Drum brake linings can also be used as a reference. According to this standard, the disc brake pad dimensional changes and temperature are recorded in the contact area under force. The friction surface of the disc brake pad faces a heating plate whose temperature is raised according to a given temperature time program.
