Scope

This part specifies the terms and symbols used in the study of aircraft stability and controllability (excluding dynamic characteristics). This section applies to fixed-wing aircraft, and can also be used as a reference for other aircraft. The x-direction of the body coordinate axis referred to in this section is close to the zero-lift line of the aircraft.
