Scope

This part of GB/T 1404 specifies the test methods for sample preparation and performance determination of powdered phenolic molding compounds (PF-PMCs). It also gives the processing requirements of the test materials and the state adjustment requirements of the test materials before molding and test samples. This section gives the procedures and conditions for sample preparation and performance testing using these samples. It also lists the applicable and necessary properties and test methods for characterizing PMCs. These properties are selected from the general test methods in GB/T 19467.1-2004. Other widely used or particularly important test methods for PMCs are included in this section, and the characteristic performance complies with the provisions in 4.4.3 and 4.4.4 of GB/T 1404.1-2008. In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, the sample preparation and state adjustment method, sample size and test procedure specified in the standard must be used. Data obtained using different sample sizes or different preparation steps are not necessarily consistent.
