Scope
This part of GB/T 1043 specifies the method for determining the Charpy impact strength of plastics under specified conditions. Several different types of specimens and tests are specified. Different test parameters are specified according to material type, specimen type and notch type. This part is used to study the behavior of specified types of samples under specified impact conditions and evaluate the brittleness and toughness of samples under test conditions. It can also be used for the determination of comparable data for similar materials. This standard applies to the following ranges of materials: — rigid thermoplastic molding and extrusion materials, including filled and reinforced materials, rigid thermoplastic sheets; — rigid thermosetting molding materials, including filled and reinforced materials, rigid Thermoset sheet materials, including laminates; — thermoset and thermoplastic composites with unidirectional or multidirectional fiber reinforcement, such as felts, fabrics, textile rovings, chopped strands, composite reinforcements, rovings and ground fibers, pre-impregnated materials Manufactured sheets (prepregs), including filled and reinforced materials; - thermotropic liquid crystal polymers. This section does not apply to rigid foam materials and sandwich structural materials containing foam materials. This section applies to molded samples of specified dimensions and samples machined from the middle of the standard multi-purpose sample (see GB/T 11997), or samples made of finished or semi-finished products, such as molded products, laminates, Machined specimens of extruded or cast sheet material. This section specifies the preferred dimensions of the test specimens. The results are not comparable when testing specimens of different sizes and notches and specimens prepared under different conditions. This section should not be used as a basis for design. However, testing at different temperatures, changing the notch radius and/or thickness, and preparing test specimens under different conditions can obtain typical performance data of the material.
