Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection methods, signs and packaging of electronic digital display micrometers and depth micrometers. This standard applies to electronic digital display micrometers and depth micrometers with a resolution higher than or equal to 0.001mm and a measuring range less than or equal to 30mm. Refer to Appendix A for electronic digital display micrometers and depth micrometers with a measuring range equal to 50 mm.
