Scope: This standard specifies the requirements or methods for heat pipe specimens used in heat transfer performance tests and their preparation, test devices and instruments, test environment conditions, tests and calculation of test results. This standard is applicable to the heat transfer performance tests of various tubular gravity heat pipes, steam cavity heat pipes, tubular heat pipes with wicks, loop heat pipes and capillary pump loops. Other types of heat pipes can be referred to for implementation.
