Scope: This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs and instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of electric soldering irons. This standard applies to electric soldering irons with single-phase AC or DC rated voltage not greater than 250V and rated input power not greater than 500W.
