Scope: This standard specifies the warning list, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and use information for industrial and commercial electric heating food ovens. This standard applies to ovens that use electricity as an energy source for continuous or batch baking operations. The technical requirements for ovens using other forms of energy (such as gas or oil), if applicable, are also within this scope. The electrical safety of commercial electric heating food ovens involved in this standard shall comply with GB 4706.1 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances Part 1: General Requirements", GB 4706.34 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances Commercial Electric Forced Convection Ovens, Special requirements for steam cookers and steam convection ovens", GB 4706.39 "Special requirements for safe commercial electric ovens and toasters for household and similar electrical appliances", GB 4706.52 "Safe commercial electric ovens for household and similar electrical appliances, Special Requirements for Ovens, Stoves and Stove Units. The electrical safety of industrial ovens shall adopt the provisions of this standard.
