Scope
The first method of this standard specifies the conditions and detailed analysis steps for the determination of total, soluble and insoluble dietary fiber in food by the enzymatic-gravimetric method. The first method of this standard is suitable for the determination of total, soluble and insoluble dietary fiber in cereals, vegetables and fruits and their products, but not for resistant maltodextrin, fructooligosaccharides, galactooligosaccharides, Determination of dietary fiber in foods such as polydextrose and resistant starch.
