- This standard applies to all types of resistance welding equipment, welding torches with built-in transformers and mobile resistance welding machines. The types of resistance welding machines are as follows: - single-phase AC resistance welding machines; - single-phase secondary rectification resistance welding machines; - single-phase inverter resistance welding machines; - three-phase secondary rectification resistance welding machines; - three-phase primary rectifier resistance welding machine (sometimes called frequency converter); - three-phase inverter resistance welding machine. This standard does not specify safety requirements, nor does it apply to solder-resisted transformers sold separately.
