- This standard specifies the characteristics of single-phase resistance welding equipment, including the parameters on the nameplate, and specifies the test methods to verify its compliance with this standard. This standard applies to single-phase resistance welding equipment (hereinafter referred to as welding machine) used under normal conditions, and also includes all types of mobile complete welding equipment. NOTE: A mobile welding package shall include all components required for the job. This standard does not apply to multi-spot welding machines, welding resistance transformers sold separately, energy storage welding machines and rectifying welding machines.
