- This standard specifies a list of guidelines for inspection and maintenance of earthmoving machinery on site. The purpose of this standard is to ensure that earth-moving machinery is designed with proper operability and the necessary continuous connections for testing with portable instruments. This standard applies to crawler and tire bulldozers, crawler and tire loaders and hydraulic excavators. Other earth-moving machinery such as motor graders, self-propelled scrapers and dump trucks can be implemented by reference.
