- Scope
- This standard specifies the test methods for industrial stearic acid, including the determination methods of iodine value, saponification value, acid value, color, freezing point, moisture, inorganic acid, ash content and composition. This standard applies to the determination of industrial stearic acid (mainly stearic acid and hexadecanoic acid) produced by hydrolysis of animal and vegetable fats and oils by pressing or distillation.
