Scope

It is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the conditions stipulated in the relevant national laws and regulations. This standard specifies three methods for the determination of free sulfur in vulcanized rubber, namely, two copper screw methods and one sodium sulfite method. This standard applies to all kinds of vulcanized rubber. The two copper screw methods are also applicable to unvulcanized rubber within the limits described in Chapter 4.
