- This standard specifies the copper screw method for the determination of free sulfur in rubber. This standard applies to both vulcanized and unvulcanized rubber, but not to unvulcanized rubber if the added elemental sulfur is insoluble in acetone, so-called "insoluble" or amorphous sulfur.
