Scope: This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of rubber rings used for sealing asbestos cement pipe joints made of natural rubber as the main raw material. This standard applies to rubber rings used for sealing joints in asbestos cement water pipes, asbestos cement downpipes, sewage pipes and asbestos cement cable pipes. This standard does not apply to rubber rings used for sealing joints of asbestos cement pipes for oil, gas and highly corrosive media.
