Scope: This standard stipulates the technical requirements and test methods for the acceptance evaluation of LAN systems in terms of functions, transmission media, equipment, performance, network management functions, power supply and environment, and proposes comprehensive acceptance test rules. This standard is mainly applicable to the acceptance test, evaluation test and related tests in daily maintenance of Ethernet-based LAN (hereinafter referred to as Ethernet) systems; in some cases, it can also be used in related tests in design and construction. Other types of LAN can refer to the implementation.
