Scope: This standard specifies the framework for coordinating the integration of existing standards and the development of future standards so that Open-edi participants can work with each other through Open-edi, and it also provides a reference for these standards. Therefore, the role of this standard is to guide the standardization work required to realize open-edi by providing a context for use by standard developers, ensuring the coherence and integrity of related standardized modeling and description technologies, services, service interfaces, and protocols . This International Standard describes important aspects related to the interoperability of information technology systems used by Open-edi participants through the two perspectives of business transactions. The two perspectives are: the business aspects of business information, business agreements, agreements, and rules among Open-edi participants; and the information technology aspects required to support the execution of business transactions in an Open-edi system. This International Standard is neither a specification for implementation nor a basis for checking the conformity of implementation.
