This part specifies the available characteristics of pantographs for main-line rolling stock to collect current from catenary, and also specifies the tests that pantographs (except insulators) should carry out. This section does not apply to the dielectric test of the pantograph, which is a test for the pantograph installed on the roof of the vehicle. This part does not apply to pantographs used in subway and light rail vehicle systems. For pantographs of subway and light rail vehicles, see GB/T 21561.2-2008.
