Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and storage of marine electric welding anchor chains and their accessories (hereinafter referred to as anchor chains and accessories). This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of geared and non-geared anchor chains and accessories used in various ships.
