Scope: This standard specifies the classification, marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings of marine electric welding anchor chains (including ordinary links and accessories) (hereinafter referred to as anchor chains). This standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of anchor chains with and without gears used in various ships.
