This standard specifies the procedures, protocols and parameters for digital messaging equipment subsystem interoperability and command automation systems that exchange information with digital messaging equipment. Communication protocols and procedures for information exchange between command automation systems and between digital messaging equipment and command automation systems are specified. This standard applies to the demonstration, design, development, testing and production of tactical Internet digital messaging equipment.
