Scope

This standard specifies the principle, symbols, hardness tester, sample, test method and test report of metal Brinell hardness test. The upper limit of the Brinell hardness test range specified in this standard is 650HBW. Brinell hardness tests for special materials or products shall be specified in relevant standards.
