Scope: This standard is used in conjunction with Part 1 of this series of standards. This standard specifies the installation conditions, working conditions and measurement conditions required for the determination, expression and verification of noise emitted by yarn processing and rope processing machinery. This standard applies to engineering method and simple method measurement. This standard applies to the following machines: - Yarn processing machinery (such as doubling machine, twisting machine and texturing machine, spinning frame, winder, ball winding machine); - Rope processing machinery (such as carding machine or yarn splitter, head carding machine, drawing frame, final carding machine); - ply rope rubbing machine, rope rubbing/rope making combined machine; - braiding machine.
