Scope

This standard specifies the structural type requirements, applicability, specifications, standard manufacturing length, optical fiber characteristics, mechanical properties, environmental performance, installation and use requirements, etc. and its series of outdoor optical cables for core networks (hereinafter referred to as optical cables). This part is used together with GB/T 13993.1 and is applicable to the manufacture and use of outdoor pipelines for core networks, direct buried, underwater and non-self-supporting overhead deployment optical cables, but not applicable to self-supporting overhead deployment optical cables.
