- This standard specifies the design requirements, test methods and inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage that cast iron drying cylinders used as pressure vessels for papermaking machinery should have. This standard applies to drying cylinders and carpet drying cylinders (hereinafter referred to as "drying cylinders") used in paper machines, board machines and pulp and paper machines with an outer diameter of no more than 4600mm and a design pressure of no more than 1.1MPa.
