This standard specifies the evaluation and classification methods for computed radiography (CR) systems, which include: special phosphor imaging panels (IP), system scanners and software, and special metal sense screen. Its purpose is to evaluate the impact from the detector/IP system to ensure the image quality and meet the user requirements. The system classification test method stipulated in this standard is applicable to different suppliers and can also provide users with the comparability of different systems.
