- This standard recommends the basic materials for the main parts of the valve. This standard applies to valves made of gray cast iron, malleable cast iron, ductile iron, copper alloy, titanium alloy, carbon steel, high temperature steel, low temperature steel, and stainless acid-resistant steel.
