Scope: This standard specifies the methods and test procedures for routine testing, type testing and special testing of oil-immersed tap-changers with resistance transition. This standard is mainly applicable to the testing of resistive on-load tap-changers and off-excitation tap-changers (including motor mechanisms and controllers). For tests on reactive and other types of tap-changers, please refer to this standard.
