This standard specifies the basic principles for the design of water inlets of hydropower stations. This standard is applicable to the design of large and medium-sized conventional hydropower inlets on rock foundations and outlet buildings for pumped storage power stations. The water inlet design of small hydropower stations can be used as a reference.
