Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for AC metal-enclosed equipment and control equipment with a rated voltage of 3.6kV~40.5kV, a frequency of 50Hz, installed indoors or outdoors, and assembled in a factory. The enclosure may contain fixed or removable components and may be filled with insulating fluid (liquid or gas). This standard divides metal-enclosed switchgear and control equipment into several categories based on the following two points:  ——The continuity of power grid operation when repairing switchgear and control equipment;  ——The need and convenience of equipment maintenance. For metal enclosed shape equipment and control equipment with inflatable compartments, this standard only applies to inflatable compartments with a design pressure not exceeding 0.3MPa (relative pressure). Special-purpose metal-enclosed switchgear and control equipment, such as those used in places with flammable gases, in mines or on ships, may need to add corresponding technical requirements. Each component installed in metal-enclosed switchgear and control equipment shall be designed and tested in accordance with the provisions of the respective standards. This standard supplements the standards for individual components by taking into account their installation in switchgear and control equipment. This standard does not preclude the use of different equipment within the same enclosure. In this case, the impact of the equipment used on the shape of the equipment and the control equipment should be considered.
