Scope
This standard establishes design standards for control systems. The control system is used to control the blowout preventer (BOP) and related valves that control wellhead pressure during drilling. This standard applies to subsystems and components. It does not include raw material selection and production process control, but it can be used as a reference when purchasing. Shunt control systems are also covered by this standard. This standard describes the following control system categories: Above water blowout preventer bank control systems. Underwater blowout preventer group control system. Separate hydraulic control system for underwater blowout preventer assembly. Underwater blowout preventer assembly electric-hydraulic composite control system. Diverter control system. Auxiliary equipment control system and connection interface. Emergency Disengagement System (EDS). Backup system (optional). Parts designed for use in deep water and harsh environments (optional).
