Scope: This standard applies to non-encapsulated type 1 multilayer ceramic fixed capacitors for surface mounting in electronic equipment, these capacitors have metal tabs or soldering strips, and are mainly used for printed circuit boards or direct mounting on hybrid circuits. Capacitors for suppressing electromagnetic interference are not included in this sub-standard, but are included in the national standard GB/T l4472-1998.
