- Scope
- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for engine oil heat exchangers for diesel locomotives (hereinafter referred to as "heat exchangers"). This standard applies to new heat exchangers (including shell-and-tube type and plate type) for diesel locomotives. Hydraulic transmission oil, hydrostatic oil and fuel heat exchangers can also be implemented with reference.
