- This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for rubber seals for diesel locomotives. This standard applies to various molded and extruded rubber sealing products used in diesel locomotives that work in fuel, lubricating oil, hot air and cooling water media. This standard does not apply to hoses, brake cylinder cups, brake hose washers, elastic rubber parts, door and window sealing gaskets and rotating shaft lip seal rubber parts used in diesel locomotives.
