Scope
This standard specifies methods for calculating the sound absorption coefficient, sound pressure reflectance, and surface normal incidence acoustic impedance or surface normal incidence acoustic admittance of a material or object. This value is calculated for normal incidence by measuring the standing wave pattern of the pipe plane wave, which is generated by the combination of the incident sinusoidal plane wave and the plane wave reflected from the specimen.
