Scope

This standard specifies the relevant terms and definitions, technical requirements, and test methods for optical fiber line auto switch protection equipment (hereinafter referred to as OLP); it also specifies inspection and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements. This standard applies to OLP in optical fiber communication systems. OLP in other optical fiber line systems can also be used with reference.
