This section specifies the technical requirements for signaling interworking between the ISDN User Part Protocol (ISUP) and the Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), as well as the Session Description Protocol (SDP) associated with the SIP protocol. This section only describes the procedures, methods and information units (messages, parameters, directives, header fields, etc.) involved in ISUP and SIP intercommunication. The content of this section applies to the application scenario of ISUP and SIP protocol interoperability; procedures, methods and information units that have only local significance (for example, only related to a single signaling system, such as SIP or ISUP) do not fall within the scope of this section.
