Scope

This part of GB 20800 specifies the safety requirements and (or) safety measures for Class E 2D and 3D reciprocating compression ignition internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as internal combustion engines) for combustible dust environments, which are used to eliminate or limit the possible generation of reciprocating internal combustion engines. various dangers and hazards. This Part applies to the explosion-proof construction, manufacture and inspection of internal combustion engines ¹⁾. This standard does not apply to internal combustion engines used in places where explosives are processed, manufactured and stored. This section does not apply to spark ignition internal combustion engines.
