Scope
This section provides two standard test methods (method 1 and method 2) to determine the ability of the test sample to withstand the specified broadband random vibration. One test method cannot be considered more severe than the other, the difference is mainly that test method 2 provides more information to quantify the applied test and therefore has better reproducibility. This standard also reveals the stress accumulation effects and specific mechanical property degradation caused by random vibration, and uses this information and related specifications to evaluate the acceptability of test samples. Sometimes, this section is also used to demonstrate the mechanical environmental suitability of samples and/or to study their dynamic characteristics. This part applies to samples that may be subjected to random vibrations in transport or working environments, such as in aircraft, spaceships and land vehicles. It is mainly used for samples that are not packaged, and their packaging is tested as part of the sample itself during transportation. sample. This part is mainly applicable to electrical and electronic products, but is not limited thereto, and can also be applied to products in other fields.
