Scope

This part of GB/T 20493 specifies the test methods for evaluating the consistency of the output quality of black and white reflection scans of office documents during their use using the standard plates specified in GB/T 20493.1-2006 and other standard plates. This section applies to evaluating the output quality of black-and-white or color office documents (regardless of whether they have halftone or color) scanned with a black-and-white scanner. This section does not apply to color scanners or scanners for scanning transparent or translucent documents.
