- Scope
- This standard specifies the quantitative test method for the smallest details of recognizable numbers, characters, symbols, graphics and other line images on microfilm. This standard specifies the characteristics of the test pattern and test pattern No. 2. During the test, the No. 2 test chart is used as a part of the test target. The composition of the test target should be specified separately according to the different purposes and requirements of microphotography. This standard is applicable to the determination of the comprehensive resolution (photographic resolution) of the camera, film and processing in the microphotography system, that is, the determination of the resolution of the microforms produced by the system. Not applicable to the determination of the resolution of readers, reading copiers, or computer output microfilm (COM) imaging systems.
