This standard specifies the ultrasonic testing methods and quality classification of universal joints made of forged steel materials. This standard applies to ultrasonic testing of universal joint cross-shaft assemblies of cars, buses, and medium and light-duty trucks. Ultrasonic testing of universal joint cross-shaft assemblies of heavy-duty trucks, construction machinery and automobile steering can also be used as a reference.
