- This part may be used in conjunction with the International Electrotechnical Commission Recommendation 244-1 and, if applicable, with other parts of the standard. This part discusses the determination of black-and-white and color television systems whose image carrier frequencies are in the television broadcasting bands. , refer to Appendix B) Measurement methods and conditions for the characteristics of AM residual sideband transmitters and differential transmitters. Various formats are classified according to the transmission parameters used and are called "television standards" (see notes). Because a given standard does not actually affect the measurement method, but only the test signal used, the measurement method in this section is applicable to various television standards.
