This standard is dedicated to mobile wireless transmitters transmitting voice and other types of signals. Its audio bandwidth generally does not exceed 10kHz. It uses: a. Angle modulation (phase modulation/frequency modulation) or b. Main carrier double sideband amplitude modulation. This standard is required to be used together with SJ/Z9095.1-87 (IEC489-1 standard) Part 1: "General Definitions and Standard Measurement Conditions". The supplementary term definitions and measurement conditions formulated in this standard are for type testing and can also be used for acceptance testing.
