- This standard specifies the basic types and dimensions of small diameter centering rectangular spline broaches. There are two types of broaching tools. The broach that processes the small diameter of the internal spline with abrasion left is called the grinding broach. The broach that processes the small diameter of the internal spline without the grinding left is called the non-grinding broach. This standard is applicable to small-diameter centering rectangular spline broaches that process splines according to GB/T 1144. The tolerance zone for the internal spline centering diameter is H7, and the groove width tolerance zone is H9 and H11.
